Berlin, 22 January 2008 - PSI will be presenting new solutions and product developments at the E-world in Essen (Hall 3, Stand 3-348) from 19-21 February 2008. The subsidiary PSI Büsing und Buchwald GmbH will be focusing its presentation on the new energy management system PSImarket 4.0, which supports all the important processes for energy trading and sales. This allows both cross-divisional as well as cross-process use in an integrated solution to a degree that has been unprecedented to date. Furthermore, the PSI Gas and Oil business is presenting its current solutions for operations in the field of gas logistics. Here, the supplementary developments for PSI solutions for transportation and communication will be presented; these fulfil the requirements for joint venture agreements and the Austrian market. The newly developed application PSIdatacentre handles the data exchange of measured data and business information with all the conventional format conversions and integrated auditing consistency.

The energy management solutionPSImarket is directed at the cross-division integration of all the trading processes in the liberalized electricity and gas markets such as planning, prognoses, optimization contract, portfolio and risk management as well as the processing of trading business. In addition, the system offers comprehensive support of all the important processes of energy sales – from sales planning to bidding calculations, contribution margin calculations to sales controlling including the distribution handling processes required and the data communication. This makes a cross-process integration and support of energy trading and sales companies possible.

The newly developed system solution offers the possibility of system migration into existing systems for customers and the further consolidation of their application environment. As a result of the modular character individual functional components can also be used.

PSI AG develops and integrates individual solutions, on the basis of its own software, for the management of energy networks (electricity, gas, oil, water, heat), cross-company production management (steel, mechanical engineering, automotive, logistics) and infrastructure management for telecommunications, transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and currently employs more than 1,000 persons in the group.
